the Kaweah drainage 08

check out these pics of two great rivers of my latest trip to kalifornia

After acouple of laps on hospital rock we went and hang out at the camp ground in three rivers, we heard of a trip the day before and how two people walked out and one other person lost his boat in a undercut, after talking to evan gracia told us it was'nt to high so we drove to the put-in, another great day in three river waited down stream.

while we were down in the kaweah dreamage in june of 08, me, blew and nick whimsett hooked up with steve and big water bob from canada to tackle one of my favorite rivers eva, hospital rock on the middle kaweah, in my first year in kali me, johnny ky and tommy emerison did laps on it for 3 days, SO GOOD!

Fun trip to the rangitata

so if you hav'nt paddled the rangitata this is the first big rapid you come to after one biggish wavechain, so the nerves are running high when you paddle in to it. this is the lowest i'd paddled it this year since i've been back from the states and was getting bored with paddling it in a kayak.

i think this the best anyone has ever looked on a sit-on top kayak, and was a very good day to get out of the city.

after paddling rooster tail, the smile says it all.

tis is just as i swam at the rapid called mousetrap, i tried to cut the corner and got spun upstream and fliped in the eddyline and had to swim to shore like a whore. i spent the next couple of minutes in a bad eddy trying to get until angus came to my rescue, thanks bro!
